Now? Why now?
I began this blog officially on February 17, 2008. Basically, well over a year ago.
During that time, I have posted over 250 times.
I have had over 3,000 views.
I have ragged on my dear, long-suffering husband, Sarge, in about 95% of my topics covered here.
Approximately four percent covered my kids, my own clumsiness, and my demented family of origin.
The last one percent was information I have totally gotten wrong as I am ever so sweetly corrected by Sarge.
You see, Sarge has known about the existence of my blog from the get-g0. He reads it on a regular basis.
I actually think he reads it at night after he has gotten home and after I have gone to bed to gauge how my night with our hellions has gone. Or rather to determine what kind of mood his wife is going to wake up in. Kind of like a prevention measure to thwart any future eruptions of my sometimes tenuous temper.
Some of the things I’ve written about are topics he is not too crazy about but Sarge doesn’t get onto to me. At least not too much.
And as my sister has pointed out on more than one occasion, other topics that I cover, especially in relation to my sometimes negative musings about Sarge and his job, would not go over to well with me if the shoe were on the other foot. I am just a wee bit sensitive and unfortunately, I am also one of those people who can dish it out but can’t take it.
But considering all of this, Sarge posted his first comment to the blog just last Friday night.
Seriously, after all that has been said and done, this is what he decided to make a decisive comment on.
A movie!
And a bad one at that!
Oh Lord help me!

Blades of Glory was awesome!
Comment In Response To My Silver Lining
I take some small exception to the “demented family of origin” comment… off-center and little crazy maybe, but demented?
To answer the “Why now?”, it may simply be the fact that Sarge did take you to an “awesome” movie for your 10th anniversary… at least awesome in his own mind.
There’s really no such thing as normal, is there? If not, you can’t say the family is demented? I’d say unique & definitely special!
